Klauer Manufacturing has developed a damper opening device that is a rack and pinion gear which produces positive elevating and closure of the ventilator damper valve. This eliminates the slamming noise due to increase and reduction of air pressure within the building. The product is bird-proof, and has attractive lines which blend into the structural lines of the building itself.
